Our Story
We are Scott and Jenna Young, owners of Redemption Tent Events. We are a family of 8 living on a hobby farm in Elgin County, Ontario. We enjoy travelling North America in our RV, serving our community in varying capacities, and dreaming BIG!
Redemption Tent Events was born from tremendous loss. In 2018 our son, Reed John Young was born still at 38 weeks gestation. Those early days after his birth were filled with tears, shock and questions. They were also filled with so much love and kindness from the community that embraced us during a time of deep heartache. We held a memorial garden planting service for Reed in August 2018 and wanted a tent on our property for the service. We found one for an impossible price, it was perfect.
That sunny day in August there were butterflies everywhere. At one point, after a dear friend finished playing "Somewhere over the Rainbow" on his trumpet, a Monarch butterfly flew through Reed's garden. It left us breathless and so thankful for God's goodness despite one of the hardest journeys we had been through.
Little did we know that Redemption Tent Events would be born from our loss; beauty for ashes. This business is indeed a legacy for our son, Reed and a testament to God's goodness in our lives.
